Forged Motorcycle and Bicycle Parts

A motorcycle triple clamp holds both fork tubes and the steering stem and carries the handlebar risers; a bicycle hub carries the axle and bearings and anchors the spokes. Both take steering, braking or drive loads, so they need stiff, fatigue-resistant aluminum parts with accurately machined bores and seats.

Aviaforge makes triple clamps from a forged blank in EN AW-6061-T6 or EN AW-7075-T6 aluminum, CNC machined and anodized. Bicycle hub shells are hot die forged from EN AW-6061 or EN AW-7075, T6 heat treated and CNC machined for the bearing seats and spoke flanges. Starting from a forged blank instead of solid bar gives a stronger part with less material removed.

Parts are produced to customer drawings under an ISO 9001:2015 quality system, from small-batch prototypes to production orders of 2,000 to 50,000 pieces.

Motor Parts: Frequently Asked Questions

Which aluminum grades are used for triple clamps and hubs?

EN AW-6061 and EN AW-7075, both in T6 condition, followed by CNC machining and anodizing.

Why forge a triple clamp instead of machining it from billet?

A forged blank is close to the final shape, with grain flow that follows the part, so the finished clamp is stronger and less material has to be machined away.

What are the MOQ and lead times?

MOQ is flexible, from small-batch prototyping to production orders of 2,000 to 50,000 pieces. The first prototype piece is typically delivered within 30 days, and production orders typically ship in 5–7 weeks, on FOB terms.
