Forged Vehicle Parts

Vehicle parts such as connecting rods, brake calipers and turbocharger compressor wheels see high alternating loads on every engine cycle, brake application or acceleration. Forging gives them a dense structure with grain flow that follows the shape of the part, which is why it is the usual way to make them.

Connecting rods are hot die forged from carbon or alloy steel, heat treated and CNC machined to customer drawings. Brake calipers are forged from EN AW-6061 or EN AW-6082 aluminum and T6 heat treated, giving a stiff body with low unsprung weight. Turbocharger compressor wheel blanks are precision hot die forged from 2A14 aluminum (equivalent to AA 2014), T6 heat treated and machined on 5-axis machines. Scroll compressor components are forged from EN AW-6061.

Aviaforge works from your drawings or samples, delivers the first prototype piece within 30 days and supports production orders of 2,000 to 50,000 pieces. Parts are made under an ISO 9001:2015 quality system.

Vehicle Parts: Frequently Asked Questions

Why are connecting rods and compressor wheels forged?

Both see high cyclic loads. Forging produces a dense material with grain flow along the part, which gives better fatigue resistance than casting or machining from bar.

Can you make vehicle parts to my drawing?

Yes. Parts are forged and machined to customer drawings or samples, with heat treatment such as T6 for aluminum alloys.

What are the MOQ and lead times?

MOQ is flexible, from small-batch prototyping to production orders of 2,000 to 50,000 pieces. The first prototype piece is typically delivered within 30 days, and production orders typically ship in 5–7 weeks, on FOB terms.
